KCML_SHA1

Purpose

Computes a 160 bit SHA-1 hash from the given buffer

Definition

DEFSUB 'KCML_SHA1(Text$, BYREF Digest$) AS Void

Parameters

Text	String to be hashed. Trailing spaces clipped unless enclosed in STR() or FLD().
Digest	20 byte buffer to receive the hash result

Description

The Secure Hash Algorithm generates a 160-bit digest from a message that can be no more than (2^64 - 1) bits long.
