Forms Designer - Aligning the controls on a form
While designing a new form it is better to place to the controls onto the form before aligning the controls. Once all of the controls have been placed onto the form you can then select a block of controls and click on the relevant alignment button.
1. In the example below you can see that the alignment grid can be used to make it easier to line up controls.
2. However, it is easier to place a selection box around the controls. This is done by clicking on the form background and dragging with the mouse.
3. Once the controls are selected in this way any of the alignment buttons from the align controls palette can be selected, for example, the align left button would have the following effect:
4. To complete the alignment process for these controls the Space evenly down button is selected to place an even gap between the controls vertically.
