Installing the KCML ODBC Driver on a client
Each PC that is to use ODBC needs the client drivers installed. This set-up is not operating system specific and includes both 32- & 64-bit drivers.
The ODBC client driver is available from https://www.adpdsionline.com. Download the setup.exe file and, as a user with Administrator rights, execute the program. This will install the ODBC Client software on the PC. If KClient has previously been installed on the machine it will default the ODBC installation directory to the same directory location.
The installation process installs the following files:
The installer adds the drivers to the list of available Windows database drivers so that the can be managed by the ODBC Administrator, odbcad32.exe.
The ODBC driver can be installed on as many PCs as you wish as all licensing is allocated and checked at the server end when you first connect to the database.
Uninstalling the client
Activate the control panel by clicking Start on the taskbar, then Settings and then Control Panel. Click the Add/Remove Programs option and select KISAM ODBC driver then click uninstall.
